Who We Are

Education. Engagement. Activism. Progressive Change.

As the representation of the Democratic Party at Stanford, we fight for democracy and progress in our community and country. We do so through education, engagement, and advocacy both of and by Stanford students.

This Fall, our focus will be mobilizing voters to support Democratic candidates up and down the ballot, in addition to mobilizing Stanford students to vote within their own communities.

To accomplish these goals, we:

  • Host political figures to speak with our members and with the broader Stanford community. Recent guests include:

    • Susan Rice (Former National Security Advisor and U.S. Ambassador to the U.N.)

    • Chasten Buttigieg (husband of former presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg)

    • Michael Bennet (Senator and former presidential candidate)

    • Antionio Villaraigosa (Mayor of L.A. and former California gubernatorial candidate)

    • Many more coming soon!

  • Put Stanford students in touch with exclusive access to political jobs––including on campaigns––and candidate events that would otherwise require large donations for entry

  • Debate other political groups on issues like gun control, immigration, and abortion

  • Host debate watch parties, political discussions, and other social events

  • Team up with issue- and identity-based groups to create tangible and inclusive change

  • Organize regular phonebanks and textbanks for key campaigns of all levels, working with our partner groups such as Cardinal for Biden, Flip the West, Cal Dems and Bruin Dems

  • Register voters to win this election one vote at a time

With the election only weeks away, this is your opportunity to step up. Join us to protect our democracy, make change, and work toward a more perfect union for all people.
